From the research sector the partner is the Laboratory of Building Construction and building Physics of the Structural Division in the Civil Engineering Department, AUTh.
The Laboratory of Building Construction and building Physics covers the areas of building construction methodology and details, industrialized building systems, building physics, energy conservation, energy performance and energy conscious design of buildings, environmental assessment of the built environment, use of passive solar systems, fire protection and safety, restoration of historic buildings, as well as architectural design. The Lab has modern equipment and licenses of new generation software for building simulation.

The Laboratory of Building Materials
The Laboratory of Building Materials (Department of Civil Engineering, AUTh) has a significant research activity in the development and promotion of new materials, the utilization of industrial by-products in construction, the analysis of historical materials of cultural heritage, as well as the restoration and reinforcement of buildings with compatible materials. The Lab has modern equipment to carry out the required laboratory controls, as well as the ELOT EN ISO 9001: 2008 certification.
The Laboratory of Metal Structures
The Laboratory of Metal Structures (Department of Civil Engineering, AUTh) deals with the design and study of steel and aluminum constructions, their assembly with screw mounting or soldering, the nonlinear problems of the assemblies, the elastoplastic calculation of the structures, the cooperation between steel and concrete, etc.
The Laboratory of Experimental Strength for Materials and Structures
The Laboratory of Experimental Strength for Materials and Structures (Department of Civil Engineering, AUTh) focuses on the experimental study of materials, building components and structures that are submitted to structural-dynamic-seismic loadings at the Lab or in situ. It features high level equipment and software licenses. The collaborators of this Lab together with AUTh possess an international patent. The Lab also has the ELOT EN ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Prefabricated Constructions IIiadis
The company “Prefabricated Constructions IIiadis” operates, since 1973, in the sector of prefabricated construction, with emphasis on the residential buildings. Within the premises of the company, there is a vertical production unit for manufacturing prefabricated parts and a showroom.
As one of the forerunners in prefabricated constructions, the company develops and applies pioneering solutions, which are actually constantly adapting to new conditions and requirements through research, in order to reach the optimum building configuration.
